High-Strength Screw Pile

The Screw Pile, also known as a Helical Pile, is a deep foundation solution used in construction and civil engineering. It is a steel shaft with a series of low-pitched circular steel helical plates welded at strategic positions along the shaft.

High-Strength Screw Pile

The pile is screwed into the ground, which provides a secure and sturdy foundation. Screw Piles are known for their quick installation, minimal vibration, and load-bearing capacity. They are an ideal choice for both temporary and permanent structures.

Technical specifications for the Screw Pile:

- **Material**: Screw piles are typically manufactured from high-strength steel³. The components of a screw pile are the steel “Helix” (screw part) with a high-strength steel “shaft” welded onto the Helix.

- **Design**: The pile shaft transfers a structure's load into the pile. Helical steel plates are welded to the pile shaft to suit the site-specific ground conditions.

- **Diameter**: Our standard range of screw piles come in diameters ranging from 60mm to 89mm, excluding helices.

- **Wall Thickness**: The wall thickness is between 6.35mm and 9.5mm.

- **Torque Limits**: Torque limits range from 4 kNm to 22.5 kNm.

- **Durability**: In most conditions, provided the top 2 metres are galvanised, the pile life will be in excess of 100 years.
